Grammy Nominated Musician and Psychologist Dr. Michael DeMaria on Conversations with Jeff Weeks April 19

Pensacola, Fla. - On Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m., WSRE’s “Conversations with Jeff Weeks” welcomes Grammy-nominated musician and psychologist Dr. Michael DeMaria.
From music to the mind, Dr. DeMaria and Jeff discuss the importance of creativity and how music has the ability to change our mood and attitude. Dr. DeMaria also explains why some successful people fall prey to influences that ultimately lead to pain and/or perhaps their demise.
Dr. Michael DeMaria is a psychologist, author and award-winning composer with over 25 years of experience in helping guide others on their life journeys. As a speaker and workshop leader, Dr. Michael DeMaria has presented nationally and internationally. Over the years, his keynote speeches have evolved into popular keynote concerts where he integrates music, storytelling, guided visualizations and poetry in his presentations. He is known for taking his audiences on dynamic, engaging and moving journeys of self-discovery, relaxation and healing that are entertaining and informative.
“Conversations with Jeff Weeks” airs as part of WSRE’s all-local evening programming block, Explore More Thursdays. The Thursday night lineup airs 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and also features series “In Your Own Backyard” hosted by Sherri Hemminghaus Weeks, locally-produced documentaries and performing arts programs.
In addition to “Conversations with Jeff Weeks,” the April 19 local Thursday night lineup includes a look at the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida on “In Your Own Backyard” at 7 p.m., the Alabama Public Television documentary “The Quilt Makers of Gees Bend” beginning at 8 p.m. and at 9 p.m. “StudioAmped” featuring the music of Elyse Therose.
