Pensacola, Fla., March 14, 2013 — Fans of the recent PBS smash-hit television program Masterpiece Classic: Downton Abbey, will soon get to share in a grand experience. WSRE, PBS for the Gulf Coast is hosting its 5th Annual Destin Wine & Food Classic featuring a gala evening inspired by Downton Abbey on April 6, 2013 at Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village, the host venue. The evening’s event will be a re-creation of a traditional dinner party at the now famous English country estate Highclere Castle, where Downton Abbey is set. The cocktail and hors d’oeuvres hour will begin at 6 p.m. with the grand dinner commencing at 7 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased online at www.wsre.org/WineAndFoodDestin or by calling (850) 484-1054 during business hours — seating is limited.
The HarborView Room inside the Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village will be completely transformed to give guests the ultimate Downton Abbey experience. Guests are encouraged to dress the part and don their very best apparel from the Edwardian age all the way to the fabulous roaring 20s. A live auction featuring one-of-a-kind items such as, a Downton Abbey-style gourmet patron dinner planned and prepared to your specifications by Emerald Coast Catering, is a just a taste of the exclusive packages to be auctioned for the evening.
