Dr. Temple Grandin and Anita Lesko Discuss Autism and Asperger's
Syndrome on the Next Conversations with Jeff Weeks June 27
Pensacola, Fla. — Thursday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m. on WSRE, "Conversations with Jeff Weeks" welcomes Dr. Temple Grandin and Anita Lesko to discuss the Autism Spectrum.
Temple Grandin, Ph.D., is considered a leading authority on autism and sensory processing disorders. She is the author of numerous books on the subject and is a sought after speaker. Her latest book is entitled "The Autistic Brain: Thinking Across the Spectrum." Anita Lesko was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at the age of 50. Since that time, she has been on a crusade to educate others. Lesko is the author of the book "Asperger's Syndrome: When Life Hands You Lemons Make Lemonade." Recently, she was one of the organizers and speakers at the Flying High with Autism conference in Pensacola, Florida. The conference attracted such noted personalities as Dr. Temple Grandin, Dr. Stephen Shore and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
"Conversations with Jeff Weeks" is a weekly, half-hour series that is "personality-driven," featuring in-depth discussions with unique individuals and leading newsmakers from all walks of life. The program airs Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. on WSRE, PBS for the Gulf Coast.
