WSRE's StudioAmped Cranks Up Fifth Year of Local Concert Series
- Season 5 Band Lineup Announced -
Pensacola, Fla. — StudioAmped is WSRE’s concert series featuring regional bands performing their original material. For Season 5 of the popular local series, all eight concerts will be taped nightly -Monday through Thursday - over a two-week period beginning Monday, February 18 and ending Thursday, February 28. The concerts are held at the WSRE Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio on the campus of Pensacola State College and are free and open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concerts begin at 7 p.m.
The concert series will offer a variety of musical genres including pop, rock, reggae, indie, country and more. Bands scheduled to appear are: February 18 – Boukou Groove, February 19 – Your Captain Speaking, February 20 – Gretsch Lyles, February 21 – Hotel Oscar, February 25 – Honeygun, February 26 – Sugarcane Jane, February 27 – The Helvetica Effect, and February 28 – Season Ammons Band.
All concerts are taped in high-definition by WSRE’s award-winning production team. Beginning April 4, 2013, WSRE will televise each concert on Thursdays from 9-10 p.m. with a repeat on the following Wednesdays from 10-11 p.m.
