MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and two years related management/supervisory experience in donor/customer account management, developmental fundraising, membership/donor research, cultivation of new business/acquisition, and/or retention OR graduation from high school or GED and six years’ management/supervisory experience in donor management, developmental fundraising, membership/donor research, cultivation of new business/acquisition, and/or retention. Successful results of a criminal background check are required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer four or more years of experience in fundraising management including development of successful annual giving programs and data reporting and analysis, experience with and aptitude for innovative fundraising efforts, including social media strategies; excellent customer service skills, extensive experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Access, in a networked environment; and experience with alternative and planned giving programs. SALARY RANGE: $32,500.00 - $40,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.) FRINGE BENEFITS: The value of the benefits package provided by the college is nearly 34% of the base salary and includes major medical insurance, life insurance and Florida retirement contributions. Supplemental life, dental, vision, and disability insurance are available at group rates. Other benefits offered include tuition waivers, educational opportunities, and paid sick and annual leave. Duties: |
The Manager, Donor Services position is a full-time professional position with an anticipated start date of June 10, 2013 but a different start date may be negotiated. The Manager, Donor Services will manage WSRE’s donor solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship programs throughout WSRE’s broadcast areas (Destin, FL to Baldwin County in Alabama). The successful candidate will create and manage station team members/volunteers in diverse fundraising efforts including on-air membership pledge drives, direct mail campaigns, telemarketing, and community membership outreach programs; develop/grow successful annual giving and sustainer programs including management of high-level computerized donor database system to collect and analyze giving metrics/data to achieve annual departmental revenue goals and production of timely and accurate financial/fundraising reports. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, working with programming consultants in the selection and scheduling of pledge programs, selecting/scheduling hosts for live pledge events, developing/producing fundraising print pieces and strategies for fundraising using social media (Facebook, Twitter, and web interfaces), and continuous cultivation of and interaction with donors, members, and volunteers on a regular basis during and between pledge drives. The Manager, Donor Services will be required to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, during pledge drive periods and special event campaigns. This position reports to the Director of Development, WSRE. |
Salary: |
$32,500.00 - $40,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable. However, the college does not generally hire at the top of the range.) |
