Manager, Online Media Technologies & Web Content - Job #2021

The Manager, Online Media Technologies and Web Content, WSRE is a full-time professional/managerial position with an anticipated start date of May 28, 2012 but a different start date may be negotiated. The Manager will use next generation technology incorporating audio/video streaming; perform website design, development and content/technical maintenance activities for public broadcasting station website and related websites; work with marketing manager and various departments to creatively and effectively design, produce, edit, update, and present the latest information all station events, programs and projects; continually seek to incorporate latest technology into all aspects of website design and presentation; and support station staff in technology needs and training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree, and two years experience in design, development, and maintenance of a website required; OR graduation from high school or GED and six years progressively responsible experience in website design, development, and maintenance required. The successful candidate for hire will be required to agree to established station guidelines. The successful results of a background check are required. NOTE: Applicants invited for an interview will be required to provide samples of their work product and demonstrate the skills and technical knowledge relative to online media technologies and web content. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience with graphical design (Dreamweaver, Wordpress, Sharepoint, Adobe Master Suite, CS4 or CS5, SQL, and web site administration; in-depth knowledge of one or more current web markup or scripting languages (HTML, XHTML, CSS, ASP, Javascript); experience with at least one desktop publishing/imaging application in each of the following: Photo editing (Adobe Photoshop, Image Ready), Drawing (Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw), Page Layout/HTML Editing (Adobe GoLive, Dreamweaver), and Multimedia (Macromedia Director, Flash, streaming audio/video); experience with both Windows and Apple operating systems; working knowledge of networking technologies, including security and encryption on the internet and basic networking concepts. 

SALARY RANGE: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable. However, the college does not generally hire at the top of the range.)

FRINGE BENEFITS:  The value of the benefits package provided by the college is nearly 34% of the base salary and includes major medical insurance, life insurance and Florida retirement contributions.  Supplemental life, dental, vision, and disability insurance are available at group rates.  Other benefits offered include tuition waivers, educational opportunities, and paid sick and annual leave.
