The Station Administrative Coordinator position is a full-time professional position with an anticipated start date of January 2, 2013 but a different start date may be negotiated. Under the direction of the Assistant General Manager and the Director, Business and Administration, the Station Administrative Coordinator will coordinate and perform administrative and operational services for assigned projects and initiatives for the WSRE-TV station and the WSRE-TV Foundation. This position will be responsible for the administrative coordination of WSRE’s local political programming; developing and managing WSRE’s outreach/recruitment efforts for part-time staff, interns, and volunteers; coordinating in-house staff training opportunities; working collaboratively with outside entities, community groups, WSRE Foundation Board members and staff as required; and coordinating scheduling and materials for the WSRE-TV Foundation Board of Directors’ meeting and events. Additionally, the Station Administrative Coordinator will assist with offsite activities and events, including overnight travel, and must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and one year related experience as a special projects coordinator or grant program specialist OR graduation from high school or GED and five years’ experience as a special projects coordinator or grant program specialist. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Publisher); experience using electronic communication media (Facetime, Skype, GotoMeeting, etc.) in a business environment; proficient with Adobe Acrobat Pro; skilled in internet navigation and research, and use of social media; and experience working in a highly energetic and productive team environment for multiple managers.
SALARY RANGE: $25,000.00 - $30,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.)
