MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience in television production and or/directing. Progressively responsible experience may substitute for the required degree. Successful results of a criminal background check are required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer five years full-time experience in a network affiliate television broadcast station, advanced computer skills, ability to operate all equipment related to television production at a network affiliate, advanced knowledge of the internet, media, and technology as it relates to TV operations at a network affiliate, including routers, servers, audio systems, captioning, etc., and advanced knowledge of multimedia such as video/audio digitization, automation, streaming, 3D animation, after effects, Photoshop, Avid, etc. FRINGE BENEFITS: The value of the benefits package provided by the college is nearly 34% of the base salary and includes major medical insurance, life insurance and Florida retirement contributions. The Television Producer/Director position is a full-time professional position with an anticipated start date of June 10, 2013 but a different start date may be negotiated. The Television Producer/Director will provide technical direction in execution of public television programs for air and web broadcast; edit and create graphics for programs and interstitial material; provide technical support for station special projects and events; direct and coordinate staff (camera operators, engineers, and technical staff during productions); operate cameras and other equipment in field productions; possess and utilize high level of production-related technical computer skills, including HD videography, non-linear editing, live directing, and field and studio production lighting and audio skills. The Television Producer/Director will be required to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, during pledge drive periods and special event campaigns. This position reports to the Senior Television Producer/Director, WSRE.
|Salary:||$27,000.00 - $41,500.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable. However, the college does not generally hire at the top of the range.) )|
